HR Service Hub: New features available! Regional Portal (People Cards) will close June 30

June 8, 2026

Dear Colleagues:

UC Berkeley's HR Service Hub is expanded and improved!

The HR Service Hub expansion introduces: Employee ProfileOrganization Chart, and Region Finder features. We built these features to replace PeopleCards as we plan to turn off the Regional Portal on June 30.

What’s New? Your Enhanced Profile Page and a full UC Berkeley Organization Chart:

  • Job information from UCPath has been added to the HR Service Hub Employee Profile. Go to your profile from any page using the arrow in the upper right hand corner by your initials.

  • You can also navigate the UC Berkeley Organization (use the Org Chart link in the header) and access helpful information about your direct reports—including their required training compliance, at a glance.

  • You can access detailed information for yourself, your direct reports, and basic information about other employees.

  • Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) and People & Culture (P&C) teams have global access to support their operations.

Employee Profile Tabs in HR Service Hub include:

  • Overview: Details about you, such as your Working Title, Employee ID, HR Region, and Team Structure at a glance.

  • Job Information: Your job code, financial chartstrings, position number, and more. See this data for yourself and your direct reports.

  • Required Training: Track your required training course list. The system will display a yellow flag if a course is due for completion in 30 days, or a red flag if the deadline has passed.

  • Business Phone: Update the Business Phone Number for yourself or your direct report. Please note that a Business Phone is required for all represented employees. The updated phone number will be sent to UCPath overnight and reflected in UCPath on the following business day.

Getting Started

What is going away?

Beginning July 1, 2026, visiting the Regional Portal (portal.berkeley.edu) will automatically redirect you to the HR Service Hub Regional Portal Transition Page

We hope these new features streamline the way you access employee information and request HR service. For more information about the HR Service Hub, training guides, governance and how to make an HR request or get help with a technical issue, please visit the HR Service Hub Website
