Newly Hired Employees and Onboarding

Berkeley Regional Services Human Resources/Academic Personnel Support (BRS HR/APS) Onboarding Team provides coordination for the onboarding paperwork and benefits counseling for newly hired UC Berkeley employees for the campus units they support.

They are committed to working with campus departments to ensure all new employees are onboarded in a timely fashion and will:

  • Coordinate pre-employment screenings and background checks
  • Send welcome emails and first day packages
  • Conduct in-person onboarding sessions to complete the necessary hiring paperwork 
  • If your department has a unique need that cannot be addressed through normal Onboarding processes, please let them know by creating an online service request in ServiceNow (or contact the BRS HR First Contact Team at 510-664-9000, option 3) so they can work with you look at other options.
