BRS participation in the Berkeley Spring Break '21 time off

As outlined in a 3/5/21 CalMessage to campus leadership from Marc Fisher and Eugene Whitlock, they are recommending divisions observe four administrative closure days (Mon., 3/22 - Thurs., 3/25) during the Berkeley Campus Spring Break (a short work week due to theCésar Chávez holiday on 3/26). The Vice Chancellor Administration division is very supportive of this plan to take a much needed break before the final push at the end of the semester. Many campus partners will be off as well, and there is an expectation that clients in other divisions supported by Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) will also choose to participate.

Here is a participation summary for BRS:

Region	Details
ERSO	There will be a blending of staff taking time off while others will provide coverage. As a result, minimal service delays are expected.
ChaMPS	In order to reduce impacts, ChaMPS staff blended time off will include the four Fridays from 3/19/21 through 4/9/21. They expect minimal service delays.
BEST	There will be a blending of staff taking time off while others will provide coverage. As a result, please expect some delays.
ProS	There will be a blending of staff taking time off while others will provide coverage. Some service delays are expected in the area of HR-related actions. More detailed information about key contacts during the break can be found in the March ProS CAO Newsletter.
SHARE	SHARE staff are staggering their days off across Friday, 3/19/21, Berkeley Campus Spring Break week, the following two Fridays, and the week of Memorial Day. Service delays are expected during these periods with minimal staff providing coverage for high priority transactions and escalations, as well as proposal submissions.
BEARS	HR and Purchasing and Reimbursements: There will be a blending of staff taking time off while others will provide coverage. As a result, please expect some delays. Research Administration: RAs will prioritize proposals already in progress. New service requests made during the Berkeley Spring Break week will be answered after 3/29/21.
Central Services	All services will continue to be provided. There will however, be fewer (video) onboarding appointments available during this week and other requests may be fulfilled with some minor delays.
