Teal brings ten years of higher ed administrative experience serving the State of California in progressively responsible roles beginning in the CSU system and coming to UC Berkeley in 2014. In her most recent role as Interim Director of Finance Systems, Teal collaborated with many individuals and teams across campus to implement systems that over 2000 faculty and staff today: PI Portfolio and Cal Answers Finance, HR and Payroll.
Teal earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC – Chapel Hill, a Master’s in Business Administration from Humboldt State University and a Master’s in Information Technology from CSU Fullerton. She served at Humboldt State University as Administrative Support Coordinator for the School of Business and the Nursing Department before moving to a role as Sr. Budget Analyst in the University Budget Office and then as Interim Co-Director of the University Budget.
The knowledge and skills gained through administration of the HSU campus budget served her well when Teal transitioned to a systems role supporting Berkeley’s VC Finance organization. Teal has developed relationships with many people across campus in both academic and central functional teams and enjoys collaborating on continuous improvement of business processes. Teal is thrilled to bring her skills and passion for service delivery to Berkeley Regional Services in support of the SHARE Region
