Tracker I-9 at Berkeley

Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) is the System Administrator for UC’s new Tracker I-9 online system which went live with UCPath in March 2019.

Tracker I-9 is being implemented at all UC campuses and is a new online tool for all UC’s to manage and increase compliance of the Federal I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Forms. Though the tool is used most significantly by the Berkeley Regional Services (BRS) First Contact Team for onboarding new employees, there are some instances where campus departments/units process I-9s. Tracker I-9 Processors must attend Tracker I-9 training in order to have access to the system.

Here are some additional details and how to get Tracker I-9 help if you need it:

  • UC Berkeley will no longer process paper I-9s -- all I-9s must be processed online with Tracker I-9.

  • Tracker I-9 access is contingent on the requirement that you attend training. Those that have already attended training can access the training deck here.

  • Use the UC Learning Center using this link for course code BECSS240. (If there are no current classes or they are full, please use the waitlist option so that we can track if additional classes are needed.)

If you are a Tracker I-9 Processor, once you are live with Tracker I-9, and need additional assistance, here are some resources at your disposal:

Note: A HR WORKSITE ID, must be entered when initiating a UCPath Position Management Request template (to ensure integration between UCPath and Tracker). Check out this simple Tracker I-9 handout - it includes the Worksite ID list.
